About Mellow Blues
The Groovy Mad Hatter. Those are the exact words to describe Mellow Blues. The guitarist and singer-songwriter from Singapore, influenced by the likes of Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix, plays primarily Acoustic Blues and Folk music with a dash of Indie, Rock, Funk, Reggae and Jazz. His first single (released on 2019), “Aye, Aye” is an indie rock song inspired by the likes of The Stoned Roses and The Smiths. Mellow Blues had toured UK(2019) and Vietnam(2019) and had played at various venues in Singapore.
Mellow Blues was the guitarist for Reggae Remedy (2016-2018), a backing band that had backed up international Reggae artist like Ras Muhamad, Toké, Mas1a and Denny Frust and had toured Vietnam, playing Vibe Nation Beach Fest in the process, and played in venues in Singapore such as Blu Jaz cafe, Montreux Jazz Cafe, Artistry, The Projector and Paulaner at Clarke Quay etc. Back in 2012, he was in a reggae band, Jamie One Drop. The band had toured Malaysia and played in Kuala Lumpur Reggae Festival. He is the co-songwriter and the guitarist in the recording of reggae artist Ahn Yasin’s “Gadis Cafe”, a single that was well received in Singapore radio station Ria Fm. In 2014, he was one of the backing Guitarist that played in Singapore television channel Suria’s Hari Raya show. He used to be in an Indie Rock band called UiD in which one of their song was charted top 5 in Malaysia Radio station Fly FM and another song was used as a opening theme song for a drama in Singapore television channel, Suria.
