Learn to play blues and jazz guitar remotely with virtual live online guitar lessons via Zoom video calls. Improve your ability to improvise melodically over chord changes, read music, play by ear and deepen your understanding of music theory. Notes and guitar tabs are provided during lessons. Lessons focus on guitar techniques, theory and musical expression in an interactive online setting, replicating the experience of in-person lessons. I'm Yat, a guitarist, singer, songwriter and guitar teacher from Singapore who performs as Mellow Blues. I've been teaching guitar since 2010. In 2014 & 2015, 2 of my students received Certificates of Excellence from Trinity College of London for scoring one of the highest in the Trinity Rock & Pop guitar examination. I'm certified grade 8 in Trinity Rock & Pop Guitar and grade 5 in ABRSM Music Theory. Aside from qualifications, I'm a performing artist and have performed in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and the United Kingdom. I've had the privilege of gracing the stages of festivals such as the Vibe Nation Beach Fest in Vietnam, UNESCO Phuket Jazz Fest, Rammanee Jazz & Blues Festival and Phuket's International Jazz & Blues Festival in Thailand.
